Officer down: A community in mourning

Flags flew half-staff across the county Friday after a Fort Myers police officer who only recently finished his first year with the department was shot point-blank in the face and killed in downtown Fort Myers.

President George Bush lifted an 18-year executive ban on offshore drilling this week to expand oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and harvest millions of gallons of oil for the United States.
